World-class Fishing Destinations
LOS CABOS
The waters surrounding Cabo are home to a myriad of great pelagic species, such as the three main Marlin (Blue, Black, Striped) along with giant Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado, Roosterfish, Jack Crevalle, among many more.
During this trip we will be fishing with some of Mexico’s finest Captains, taught to fish by their fathers and grandfathers. They understand your expectations and will do everything in their power to ensure that you catch a fish of a lifetime. Our American captains/concierges are legendary for their fishing skills and they will be there each day to assist with your needs.
The beautiful Tesoro Resort sits on the Marina. It is an icon of Cabo San Lucas with its familiar light house. Accompanied by your captain/concierge, you will be at your boats in minutes and underway for your great adventure. Your stay at the Tesoro includes a beautiful suite overlooking the Marina and a delicious breakfast available daily at two of the hotels four restaurants. You will be pampered at every turn at the Tesoro, from the excellent restaurants with true Mexican cuisine to the many bars within the recently renovated hotel complex. It will be a stay to remember and a destination you will want to return to at every opportunity. Come discover the magic of Mexico and the storied Baja.
Zihuatanejo
Zihua, in our estimation, is one of the finest saltwater fishing destinations in Mexico, or perhaps anywhere in the world. This odyssey will take you to a remote, tropic destination unlike many of the other fishing hotspots Mexico has to offer. Zihuatanejo is like stepping back in time and visiting with family and close friends that you remember from distant memory. The fishing is excellent from late summer to early spring, with October/November being hot for Marlin, Sailfish, Jacks and Roosters, with Yellowfin Tuna fishing heating up when the water cools in the coming spring months.
An angler can expect to hook up numerous sailfish in just an afternoon and land the majority. Our customers are often surprised at the frequency at which fish attack the bait, many times one angler can catch two or three a day. The size of these pelagic sailfish can easily exceed 100 inches and weigh around 120 lbs.
Look forward to a 7-9 day excursion with 4-5 of those days being on 31 ft Bertrams offshore fishing for all of the species that Mexico is known for. Anglers may choose to go in-shore on one of the many ‘super’ Pangas, testing their luck for the coveted Roosterfish and Jack Crevalle.
Magdalena Bay
Magdalena Bay, an isolated and remote location on the Baja, is arguably the greatest big game fishing location on the earth during the winter months when marlin and other pelagic species gather in extraordinary numbers to spawn. When the timing is right, the angler can expect 10 to 15 hook ups a day. Nowhere else on the earth is this possible day after day during the short season.
Because of Mag Bay's remoteness, it is not fished to any large degree. It is difficult to get to and services are limited. The big bay offers offshore fishing for Marlin, Wahoo, Dorado, Yellowtail and Yellowfin tuna. Miles of inshore mangrove waterways offer over 40 species of trophy class game fish including Black Snook, Grouper, Pacific Halibut, Roosterfish, Corvina, Seabass and many others. Simply incredible fishing throughout the miles of mangrove trees.
Anglers Odyssey has put together an incredible 9 day package that includes: R/T non-stop Air to Cabo San Lucas, Overnight lodging in San Juan del Cabo near the airport, Ground Transportation from airport hotel to Puerto San Carlos, Magdalena Bay, 7 nights lodging, 6 days fishing (offshore and inshore) on Center consoles and pangas, Tackle, meals and box lunches, all Mexican taxes and fees, Mexican fishing licenses, fish preparation, shrink wrap and frozen for your return home and much more.
